Magic City Collectibles Opens 2026 Topps Chrome Formula 1 on Release Day, and the Guaranteed Hobby Autograph Is Real
Magic City Collectibles opened 2026 Topps Chrome Formula 1 on the day it came out. The video went up on Oct. 15, 2026, and its title asks the question the channel wanted answered on camera: "GUARANTEED F1 AUTO IN EVERY BOX?!" The description answers it before the first pack is opened. The channel says it is ripping "the newest F1 Chrome hobby box, now featuring women drivers and, for the first time ever, one GUARANTEED autograph in every box."
It is the first racing product this blog has picked for Video of the Day, and the claim in that sentence is worth checking against Topps' own paperwork.
What a 2026 Hobby Box Holds
Topps' format guide for the release, published Sept. 15, lists seven formats: Hobby, First Day Issue, Hongbao Edition, Value Box, Mega Box, Logofractor Edition and Sapphire Edition. The Hobby box is the one in the video's thumbnail, and Topps describes it this way:
- 20 packs per box, four cards per pack, 12 boxes per case.
- "Every box includes one autograph, four Prism Refractors, and three or more numbered parallels."
- Hobby-exclusive parallels: the new Prism Refractor color ladder, the Full Grid Refractor numbered to 22, and the Purple Refractor numbered to 75.
- Inserts including Speed Wheels, Austin to Mexico City, Helmet Collection, Dancing in the Rain and Women of the Paddock.
The base set runs 200 subjects across Formula 1, Formula 2 and Formula 3. Topps ties the release to the grid itself, with "11 teams and 22 drivers on the grid for the first time in a decade," and calls the autograph lineup "one of the deepest autograph programs in F1 Chrome history." The chase cards include the Arvid Lindblad F1 Debut Patch Autograph and The Grail, a nine-card insert set built around the top three drivers from the previous season, with three of the nine available in Hobby. The quest ends with a 24k gold 1/1 Grand Prize Autograph Card for the winner.
Checking the Guarantee Against 2025
Topps' own 2025 Hobby box listing gave the configuration as 20 packs of four cards, plus an extra Diamond 75th Anniversary pack to mark 75 years of Formula 1. Its odds sheet put the base Chrome Autograph at one per 77 Hobby packs.
Analysis: Across 20 Hobby packs a box, one in 77 packs works out to about one base autograph every four boxes, with the numbered autograph parallels and other autograph sets adding to that. A guaranteed autograph in every Hobby box is a real change from last year's box, and the question in the video's title is about a change Topps really made. "First time ever" is the channel's phrase. Topps' own wording is the more modest "one of the deepest autograph programs."
The Channel
Release-day openings are a regular format for Magic City Collectibles. Four of the channel's 15 most recent uploads are labeled as release-day rips: F1 Chrome, Topps Neon Marvel, Topps Update baseball and Bowman football. Most of the others are openings of other new products, alongside shop updates and giveaways. The thumbnail for this one carries the same banner, "RELEASE DAY RIPS," over "FIRST LOOK: 2026 TOPPS FORMULA 1 CHROME," with the hosts holding up Hobby boxes.
What to Watch For
The pulls, and the autograph itself, belong to the video. Watch it to see what one 2026 Hobby box produces: whether the four Prism Refractors and three numbered parallels arrive as listed, which subject the guaranteed autograph lands on, and what the Women of the Paddock insert looks like in hand.
Verdict: Magic City Collectibles asks whether every 2026 F1 Chrome Hobby box really carries an autograph. Topps' guide says it does, and last year's odds sheet shows why that is news. Watch the video for which one this box gave up.
