zeeree's Upper Deck Series 1 Tins Bring Clear Cut to Retail. So Does the Cheaper Blaster, at the Same Odds
zeeree opened four retail tins of 2026-27 Upper Deck Series 1 Hockey and called the video "THIS CHANGES RETAIL FOREVER!" The change Upper Deck points to is real. For the first time, the Clear Cut parallel of the full base set, once a hobby exclusive, comes in retail product. But Upper Deck makes that same "first time ever" claim, almost word for word, for its $24.99 blaster. What the $59.99 tin adds is something else.
The video was published Oct. 22, 2026. Its description sets out the format and the chase: four tins, "12 cards per pack," with "AN EXCLUSIVE DAZZLERS BONUS PACK," and four rookies named as the targets: Gavin McKenna, Porter Martone, James Hagens and Anton Frondell. The thumbnail shows the stack of tins, the wrap printed "BONUS PACK INCLUDED," under the words "CRAZY BREAK!"
What the Tin Holds
Upper Deck's own store lists the Series 1 tin at $59.99. Its configuration:
- 8 regular packs of 12 cards, plus one bonus pack
- A three-card Dazzlers bonus pack, usually three Orange, with select packs swapping one Orange for a Red or a Black. Upper Deck says all three colors are tin-exclusive.
- On average per tin: 3 Young Guns, 3 retail-exclusive Ovation inserts, 3 UD Canvas or UD Portraits inserts, and 12 more hits from sets such as Debut Dates, Fan Faves and Vibe Check
Series One is the first 250 cards of the 2026-27 base set: 198 veterans, 49 Young Guns and three checklists. The Young Guns are the rookies zeeree's description is hunting.
"Formerly a Hobby Exclusive"
The line behind the video's title is on the tin's page: "For the first time ever, the Clear Cut parallel of the complete Base Set - formerly a Hobby exclusive - can be collected via the Tin!" The UD Canvas Black & White parallels are also "available via the Tin for the first time."
The blaster page says the same thing. It reads "can be collected via the Mass Blaster!" and its Black & White line also ends "for the first time." The blaster is $24.99 for four packs of 12. The Clear Cut odds are identical in both formats:
- Base Set Clear Cut: 1:96
- Young Guns Clear Cut: 1:288
- UD Canvas Black & White: 1:96, and its Young Guns version 1:288
Analysis: Upper Deck's per-tin promise of three Young Guns from 1:3 odds and eight packs, and the blaster's one from four, shows the ratios are per pack. On that basis, a Base Set Clear Cut works out to about one in every 12 tins, roughly $720 of tins at list price, or one in every 24 blasters, about $600. A Young Guns Clear Cut is about one in 36 tins, or 72 blasters. A tin's regular pack costs about $7.50 and a blaster pack about $6.25, so the blaster is the cheaper way to chase the parallel the video's title is about. Upper Deck notes that its stated odds are an average across the whole production run, and no ratio is guaranteed in any pack, box or case.
What Only the Tin Gets
Side by side, the two odds tables differ in two places. The tin has the Dazzlers bonus pack, with Orange, Red at 1:4 and Black at 1:12, colors the blaster does not carry; the blaster gets its own Green Dazzlers instead. And every Speckle parallel falls about twice as often in the tin:
- Debut Dates and Here We Go! Speckle: 1:60 in the tin, 1:120 in the blaster
- Fan Faves and Repping Speckle: 1:38 against 1:75
- Sizzle Reel and UD Portraits Speckle: 1:40 against 1:80
- Vibe Check Speckle: 1:34 against 1:67
Everything else in the two tables, from Ovation to Holotypes to the 1:5,760 Bootleg and Electric Soul cards, is the same.
For the hobby side of the same product, CASE #0363 opened a Series One hobby box, which Upper Deck says carries six Young Guns on average.
The Channel
Series One has dominated zeeree's channel this month. Six of its last 15 uploads are 2026-27 Upper Deck Series 1 breaks, from a hobby box on Oct. 8 and a two-part 12-box hobby case to these tins. Soon after the tin video it posted a five-blaster break of the same product, titled "Actually Pulled One!" The blog last featured the channel in CASE #0339, a three-box Upper Deck Ice break.
The tin did not bring Clear Cut to retail on its own. The blaster brought it at the same odds and a lower price per pack. What the $59.99 tin buys is the tin-only Dazzlers colors and Speckle parallels at about twice the blaster rate. Whether four tins changed anything for zeeree is in the video.
